Positive #5: Getting more sleep

A couple of weeks ago I declared a goal to the students of Happiness 101: to lay down to bed before 12:30pm six out of seven days of the week. I have been doing very well in keeping my word and it has made SUCH a difference. In her book, The How of Happiness, Sonja Lyubomirsky referenced studies that revealed that if Americans got just one more hour of sleep, they would improve their level of Happiness. It certainly is the case with me. Are YOU getting enough sleep? You might rate your level of Happiness for a couple of days, make a commitment to get to sleep at a decent hour for a week, then measure your Happiness again for a couple of days. I’m guessing, you’ll be glad you did. 🙂
