On the way home from the Happiness Social, I discovered that highway was not yet plowed. I was grateful for my extensive experience of driving in the snow – because I needed all of it to make it home safely. At one point I started going into a slide but kept calm, did not over-correct, down-shifted and pulled out of it like a pro. Navigating the hill home was challenging. I ended up parking around the corner – which gave me an opportunity to get a little exercise by walking that last block to home. Today I am thankful to be home where it is warm, dry and safe.
