Since meeting Frank Clayton, I have been taught to recognize the things in my life that needed to be addressed. How to feel the emotions that I never let myself feel. And most importantly, how to cope with all the people, “some loved, most not even liked” in my life.
With the guidance and support, I’ve received from Frank Clayton. I’ve learned to appreciate the consequences of my action’s. (Before they become a detriment to my own well being).
Sincerely
Ms. Becky E.

Finishing the last week of the Happiness 101 class . Then the final test, found out it was all open book afterwards, so I could of did a little better but I am still “happy” about it . Great course. Thanks Frank for telling us about it!

Positive 2

I got some bad news today about someone I love but really practicing not to react to the news until the parents can get the real facts from the specialist on Tuesday. Practicing self control because reacting to the what ifs don’t help anything. (so hard )

Positive 3

I had a cold call today where everything just fell into place perfectly. I don’t know if I will get the account but I am off to a very good start.

Last night  I only slept 5 hours  but it was such great sleep  that I felt like it was 10 hours . I felt so rested when I woke up , it was amazing.

Positive 2

One of my daily rah rahs said “What would happen if you had everything you wanted today? ” And I thought but I do, my life is complete at this moment everything else is just gravy. I then  silently  listed many things  in my life I feel grateful for ,from my home to my dog ,the ability to be able to work  etc etc . I was humbled by the gratitude which hopefully whatever my circumstance will always be enough.

Gosh I had an appointment up on the east side and those mountains are so powerful when you get close.  I enjoy the feeling of awe when I get close to them. I feel so small yet so safe and protected when I am near the mountains.

I bought a new guitar book today from B&N. It’s got some good stuff in it – Hit from yesterday and today (that sounds like a radio station tag line, doesn’t it? But it’s true). I had so much fun trying out different songs that two hours went by without me even noticing. I never thought that “Smells Like Teen Spirit” would find it’s way into a positive but it did. I laid the rhythm down with the looper then picked out the lead and played over the top of it. I would also include the fact that I appreciate living in a house (vs. an apartment or condo) so I can play it LOUD! That part is big enough to deserve it’s own positive though. “Flow”, by the way, is a term in Positive Psychology referring to enjoying something so much that you lose all track of time. What’s YOUR flow activity?

My phone has been going into a kind of electronic convulsions when I plug it in to charge. But I noticed it only does it some of the time. I was patient and stuck it out. Eventually the phone became completely charged. I have a lot of fun apps on my phone but none of them will do me any good if I can’t charge the phone. So, right now I appreciate that the phone will still accept a charge.

I have come to truly appreciate the cooler, milder temperatures of fall. I can venture from the refuge of the shadows to the open sidewalks, exploring the streets near my office. I can get my heart rate up without sweating. It also allows me to resume my neighborhood beautification program. 😉
