Positive 1

Going to Erins singing event tonight should be relaxing after this hectic day.

Positive 2

Went to court with my friend and she was granted guardianship of her grandchildren. It is for the best.

Positive 3

Today would of been my gfathers bday so I am thankful he was in my life for a few years. He had a huge influence on my sense of integrity and being tough. I may be a little too black and white because of him. But I am glad I am not all gray. He was a gruff tough man but he made us laugh too.

Got that long, wet  lawn mowed. It looks good and I am so glad that it finally stopped raining for me to do that.

This song was in “A Star is Born”. The happier I become, the more I feel like this. I am so busy because “I’m like a child at the fun fair. Every ride invites me”. I want to make a movie. I want to write music. I want to offer Happiness 101 on YouTube. I want to do more to raise awareness for suicide prevention. I want to play guitar. I want to spend quality time with my wife. I want “the perfect twin. One who’d go out, as I came in”. In other words, I want “Everything”. If you think back to when you were a child, you might remember not wanting to go to sleep because you might miss something. I feel like that much of the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXrU1AGKF40

I love jammin’ with my friends Dwight and Suzi. One of our favorite songs to jam to is “Let Love Rule” by Lenny Kravitz. The words are very direct and powerful and Lenny belts ’em out like only he can. So we played along with Lenny first then disengaged the docking station and were out on our own. There really is a kind of magic that happens when three individuals energize and synergize. Life is great with good music and great friends.

I love the summer storms that bring the natural light show of lightening. The louder, brighter and nearer, the better (well, not TOO close!) There is a true power exhibited when the ground shakes and the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. When the the music of rain dances on the leaves. There is (literally) an electric excitement that occurs. Today I feel very grateful for lightning for it is during these storms I am focused, totally present and very much alive.

Positive #2: My Abbey Road mouse pad. The Beatles are one of my all-time favorite bands and Abbey Road was one of my first REAL albums. I remember the green apple spinning ’round and ’round. My best and oldest friend (Michael) knows this about me and gave me a mouse pad with the Beatles walking across that famous crosswalk. I take it with me where ever I go. It brings me a kind of comfort – a great connection to my roots of friendship and music.

I really am SO excited to have Gary Stoddard at the Happiness Social tonight (6:30pm). Not only for the fantastic music but because we have a special surprise cooked up. It’s something I have wanted to do for a LONG time but did not quite have the means to do it. I can’t wait! I love having something to look forward to.

We had the pleasure of having she and our friends in our home today. She is such a joy to be around. She was talking away like I could understand everything she said. Mama was able to interpret most of it. Then when my wife played different pre-recorded music on her Casio keyboard, my God daughter danced in a different way to each song. She is very musical. She even has a kind of sing-song in her voice. She has deeply touched my soul.
